Information Collection and Use

When you use Fotogrit, we may collect information that you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and any photos you upload. Our face recognition feature is designed to help you search and manage your photos more efficiently. This feature is completely optional and does not affect your ability to use Fotogrit’s core services.

Face Recognition Policy

• Collection of Photos: We collect photos that you upload to Fotogrit for the purpose of enhancing your experience by making it easier to search for and organize your photos based on facial recognition.
• Use of Face Recognition: Our technology analyzes the facial features in your photos to create a unique facial template. This template helps identify similar faces across your photo collection.
• Why We Collect Face Data: Retaining your data for up to one (1) year is necessary to:
  • Support annual activities such as sports seasons, school years, or community events, which typically span one year. This allows you to search across a complete season without re-enrollment.
  • Allow us to respond to refund requests, billing disputes, or account recovery inquiries that may be submitted within one year of service use.
  • Provide continuity if you return after a break (e.g., holidays, exams, or work cycles) without needing to re-upload face data multiple times within a typical engagement cycle.
• Length of Face Data Storage: Facial templates are stored for up to one (1) year. After that period, they are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers. To continue using the feature, you will need to re-upload your face data. You may also delete or update your face data at any time before the one-year expiration through your account settings.
• Non-sharing Policy: Your facial data and photos are never shared with third parties. We also do not use your face data to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing the face recognition feature within Fotogrit.
• User Control and Deletion: You have full control over your photos and facial templates. You may delete them from our servers at any time, either individually or by deleting your Fotogrit account. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to protect your information. Your data is stored behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of authorized personnel who are required to keep the information confidential.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your account, all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

Face Data Retention: Facial templates are retained for up to one (1) year to support seasonal activities, customer service inquiries, and user experience continuity. At the end of this period, your face data is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers. If you wish to continue using the face recognition feature, you will need to re-upload your data. You may also delete or update your data at any time.

Children’s Information

Fotogrit does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately and we will promptly remove it from our records.

Changes to This Policy

Fotogrit may update this Face Recognition Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated version on this page. Please review it periodically to stay informed.
